Sin

Sin gets a bad name and gets credit for a lot of negative stuff that keeps people away from Jesus, but maybe there is a different way of looking at it.

WHAT IF – Jesus died for all your sin and that actually means ALL your sins, even the stuff you haven’t done yet?

WHAT IF – God has a terrible memory when it comes to sin and when He says He remembers it no more, He means it?

WHAT IF – Repentance has little to do about being sorry for your sin but rather changing how you look at sin?

WHAT IF – When Father God looks at you, He only sees Jesus in your place?

All these statements are true and based on Bible verses.  I would go so far as to say that there is no need to go and ask forgiveness for any sins you commit because they don’t exist if you are a Believer in Jesus.

SO – What about sin?  Sin does not affect your standing with God, He loves you and wants to spend time with you.  BUT, there are still consequences to sin.  Choosing to do something that is not consistent with God’s love will lead to stuff that will affect your life.  Kill a person and God will still love you but you will probably be sitting in jail because of your choices.

So, one last WHAT IF – What if you stopped worrying about your actions so much and started focusing on your relationship with Jesus.  I am willing to guarantee that sin loses focus as you grasp how much you are loved.  Add to that you will have a real relationship with a living God and sin becomes something that you do not want to do because that relationship with Jesus becomes so precious, nothing else matters.
